Age Relaxation
The Telangana Government has provided a general relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for direct recruitment to Uniformed Services, including Police, Fire Services, Prisons, and Special Protection Force departments. This relaxation is applicable to all eligible candidates, including those from the Open Category (OC).
In addition to this general relaxation, candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, and EWS categories are eligible for an additional 5 years of age relaxation as per the applicable recruitment rules. As a result, eligible reserved category candidates may receive a total relaxation of up to 10 years, while Open Category (OC) candidates are eligible only for the general 5-year relaxation.
