About This Recruitment

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), one of India’s largest commercial undertakings and a Fortune “Global 500” Company, invites applications for engagement of Technician, Graduate and Trade Apprentices (Technical and Non-Technical) under the Apprentices Act, 1961, at its Marketing Division, Northern Region locations. This engagement is spread across the States/UTs of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Discipline-wise Qualification (Eligibility)

Qualification must be through a full-time regular course; Part-time/Correspondence/Distance Learning qualifications are NOT eligible. Candidates with higher qualifications (B.E., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent) are NOT eligible.

Stipend

Stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprentices Rules, 1992 (as amended). In addition, apprentices will get Rs.2,500/- per month towards miscellaneous expenses from IOCL (MD), Northern Region.

• For Graduate and Technician Apprentices: a portion of the stipend is directly transferred to the apprentice’s bank account by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. An Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account is essential.
• For Trade Apprentices (NAPS): the full stipend is paid directly by IOCL (MD), Northern Region.

Period of Training

12 Months for all disciplines. On completion, IOCL has NO obligation to offer regular employment, and apprentices cannot claim employment rights on the basis of completing the apprenticeship.

Selection Process

1. There is NO written test or interview.
2. A merit list is prepared based on the percentage of marks secured in the prescribed qualification, among candidates registered on the NAPS/NATS portal and meeting eligibility criteria.
3. In case of a tie, the candidate with an earlier date of birth (older) is preferred; if still tied, higher marks in Matriculation are considered.
4. Preference is given to candidates applying for apprenticeship for the first time.
5. Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification and a Pre-engagement Medical Fitness Test.
6. Candidates clearing document verification and medical fitness are issued an Offer of Engagement. Up to Rs.3,000/- is reimbursed for pre-engagement medical test expenses on producing receipts.

• Matriculation (Class X) Mark Sheet/Certificate — only accepted proof of Date of Birth
• Latest Caste Certificate (for reserved category candidates), in prescribed proforma
• OBC (NCL) Certificate — issued on or after 01.09.2025, in Central Government prescribed format
• Certificate from Institute confirming regular mode of study and year of passing
• Semester-wise/Year-wise mark sheets of ITI/HSC/Graduation/Diploma
• Final ITI Certificate/HSC/Graduation/Diploma Certificate
• Copy of Bank Passbook first page (Aadhaar-seeded account), Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, cancelled cheque leaf
• Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Certificate

• Active and valid Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number on NAPS (for ITI & Data Entry Operator) or NATS (for Graduate & Diploma holders) portal, with 100% complete profile
• Active e-mail ID and Mobile Number, valid for at least 1 year
• PAN Card
• Aadhaar Card
• Active Bank Account with Cheque Book (name printed), Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled
• APAAR ID and e-KYC verification updated on NATS portal

How to Apply

1. Register online on the relevant portal based on your trade:
   • Trade Apprentice (ITI) and Trade Apprentice-Data Entry Operator → NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in)
   • Technician Apprentice (Diploma) and Graduate Apprentice → NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in)
2. Login and apply for the opportunity under IOCL (MD)-Northern Region using the Establishment ID:
   • NATS: NDLSDC000005
   • NAPS: E05200700003
3. After applying on NAPS/NATS, also submit your details, preferred State, and three preferred locations through the Microsoft Office Form (link given in Important Links below) by 06.09.2026, 5:00 PM.
4. Submit only ONE response on the Microsoft Form — multiple submissions are not entertained.
5. Candidates can apply for ONLY ONE Discipline Code. Applying for more than one will lead to summary rejection.
