4. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Common Pattern for All Trades)
SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks, along with any ONE of the following: (a) ITI Certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade, OR (b) 2 years full-time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized institution in the relevant trade, OR (c) 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Ministry/Department/Organisation/PSU/Autonomous Body under the Government of India/State/UT.

6. Selection Process
Selection is a two-stage process:
- Stage I – Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates are called for a Trade Test to evaluate practical knowledge relevant to the post/trade.
- Stage II – Competitive Written Examination (CWE): Candidates qualifying the Trade Test appear for the CWE. The final merit list is prepared based on CWE performance.

7. How to Apply

- Fill in all details, upload photograph, signature and relevant certificates as specified.
- Pay the application fee of ₹500/- (if applicable) through SBI Collect only.
- Review and click “Final Submit” – no modifications are allowed after final submission.
- Keep a printout of the completed application form; do not send a hard copy unless specifically requested later.

9. Service Conditions
All posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL) – selected candidates may be asked to serve anywhere in the country. Selected incumbents will be posted at CSIR-NGRI but may be transferred to any CSIR Lab/Institute/Unit across India. New entrants will be governed by the National Pension System. Selected candidates will be on probation for a specified period before confirmation.
