1. Overview
Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti (Bihar School Examination Board) has released an official notice (Vigyapti Sankhya P.R. 183/2026) for candidates wishing to fill the application form for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2026. 5. Eligibility Criteria
(a) The applicant must be a citizen of India.
(b) The candidate must be qualified/eligible as per the Bihar Rajya Vidyalaya Adhyapak (Niyukti, Sthanantaran, Karyavadhi evam Sevashartein) Niyamawali, 2023 (as amended) to sit the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test.
(c) Candidates from Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste/Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class categories who are original residents of Bihar are entitled to a 5% relaxation in the minimum prescribed educational qualification marks.

9. How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online only through the Board’s dedicated STET registration portal. After filling in details, candidates must click “Preview”, re-check their entered details carefully, correct any errors, and then click “SAVE” to lock in the application – no correction is allowed after final submission, so candidates are advised to verify all details thoroughly before saving. Candidates should keep their User ID and Password confidential.

10. Normalization
If the Computer Based Test (CBT) is conducted in multiple shifts, a normalization process will be applied to ensure fair comparison of scores across shifts with differing difficulty levels.
