1. Overview

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for CRP RRBs – XV, the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks, inviting online applications for Group “A” – Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Group “B” – Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts in 28 Participating Regional Rural Banks across India. A candidate may apply for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and also for an Officer post, but can apply for only one Officer post – Scale I, Scale II or Scale III – and must pay fees/intimation charges separately for each post applied for. 3. Participating Regional Rural Banks

28 Regional Rural Banks across almost all States/UTs are participating in CRP RRBs-XV, each with its own desired local language proficiency requirement for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I posts:

4. Vacancy Details

The notification states that post-wise and category-wise indicative vacancies of each Regional Rural Bank are given in Annexure-I. Recruitment in RRBs is a dynamic process depending on business volume, branch expansion and other factors, so vacancies mentioned are indicative and anticipated as communicated by the RRBs; the actual provisional allotment will be based on vacancies finally reported. Reservation is provided for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS and PwBD (Hearing Impairment, Orthopaedically/Locomotor disability, Visual Impairment, Intellectual Disability) candidates, along with relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, as per each RRB. Candidates should check the exact state/RRB-wise and category-wise vacancy count in Annexure-I of the official notification before applying.

5. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026)

Age limit above applies to General and EWS category candidates. Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years; PwBD – 10 years; Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen and widows/divorced/legally separated women (for Office Assistant post only) get further relaxation as prescribed in the notification.

6. Application Fee

8. Selection Process

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale I: Online Preliminary Examination (qualifying) followed by Online Main Examination. For Office Assistant, provisional allotment is based on marks scored in the Main Examination and actual vacancies reported by the RRB – there is no interview for this post. For Officer Scale I, shortlisted candidates in the Main Examination are called for a Common Interview coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the assistance of NABARD and IBPS.

For Officer Scale II and Scale III: a Single Online Examination, followed by a Common Interview for shortlisted candidates, coordinated in the same manner. Final selection for all Officer posts is based on performance in the Main/Single Examination and Interview, followed by provisional allotment to a Regional Rural Bank based on merit, preference, reservation policy and administrative exigencies.

9. How to Apply

1. Visit the official IBPS website www.ibps.in and open the “CRP for RRBs” link.
2. Click the relevant option to apply online for Officers (Scale I, II & III) or Office Assistants (Multipurpose), as applicable.
3. Click “Click Here for New Registration”, enter basic details to generate a provisional registration number and password (also sent by email/SMS).
4. Fill in the online application form, upload photograph, signature and other required documents, and select the preferred centre and medium of examination.
5. Pay the application fee/intimation charges online.
6. Use the Edit Window (available for 2 days after registration closes) to correct any errors, if required, and submit.
7. Save/print a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
