4. Eligibility Criteria
4.1 Age and Educational Qualification

4.2 Sports Qualification
For Head Constable/GD (Sports Quota), a candidate must qualify under any one of the following:
- Represented the country in recognised International Competitions/Meets, with clearance of the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Represented a State/UT in the National Games/Championship organised by National Sports Federations recognised by the Department of Sports, or National Games organised by the Indian Olympics Association, with medals or positions up to 3rd place.
- Secured 1st or 2nd position in an individual event in Inter-University Tournaments (or, for a team event, reached the finals) conducted by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/Inter University Sports Board.
- Won a Gold or Silver medal in an individual/team event at a Junior National level Games/Championship/Meet organised by National Sports Federations recognised by the Department of Sports.
For Constable/GD (Sports Quota), a candidate must qualify under any one of the following:
- Represented a State in Senior/Junior National level Games/Championships organised by National Sports Federations recognised by the Department of Sports.
- Represented State Schools Teams in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All-India School Games Federation (SGFI), with medals or positions up to 3rd place.
- Represented a State/UT in Khelo India University Games/Khelo India Youth Games/Khelo India Winter Games authorised by the Department of Sports, with medals or positions up to 3rd place.
- Represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards, in any of the sports/games.

The sports achievement/certificate of a candidate must be of the last two years from the date of publication of the recruitment advertisement (i.e. from 30.09.2024 to 30.09.2026). The crucial date for claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS status is the closing date for receipt of online applications, i.e. 11 November 2026. 7. Order of Preference
- First preference: candidates who represented the country in an International Competition with clearance of the Department of Sports.
- Next preference: candidates who represented a State/UT in Senior or Junior National level Championships/National Games with medals or positions up to 3rd place (between Senior and Junior National, a Senior National medal is preferred).
- Next preference: candidates who represented a University in Inter-University competitions (AIU/Inter-University Sports Board) or Khelo India University Games, with medals or positions up to 3rd place in finals.
- Next preference: candidates who represented a State/UT in Khelo India Youth Games (above 18 years) or Khelo India Winter Games, with medals or positions up to 3rd place in finals.
- Next preference: candidates who represented State Schools in National Sports/Games for Schools (SGFI) with medals or positions up to 3rd place.

9. Medical Standards
Shortlisted candidates undergo medical examination by CRPF Medical Boards as per the Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR. Minimum distance vision must be 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without correction (no spectacles/lenses). A colour-blind person is not eligible. Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins or squint in the eyes, and must be in good mental and bodily health. Tattoos are permitted only if they depict religious symbols/figures or the candidate’s name (as per Indian Army norms), are located only on the inner aspect of the left forearm or the dorsum of the hands, and are smaller than ¼ of that body part. 10. Selection Process
- Identity Verification & Biometric Capture: All candidates undergo verification of identity, including Aadhaar-based biometric capture, before documentation.
- Documentation: Candidates must produce all original documents (education, age, caste, sports achievement, domicile certificates etc.) for scrutiny. Those found in order submit self-attested photocopies; originals are returned on the spot.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates qualifying documentation undergo PST for height and chest as per the prescribed standards. Female candidates submit a self-declaration on pregnancy status before PST.
- Sports Trial Test: Candidates qualifying PST undergo a Sports Trial Test conducted by the Board of Officers for their respective discipline, to confirm playing ability. No marks are awarded for the trial test — candidates who fail the trial test are not considered further, and a Dope Test may also be conducted on the day of the trial.
- Merit List: Drawn purely on total marks obtained for sports certificates/achievements (Para 6 table) in the advertised discipline; ties are broken first by higher achievement in National competition, then by higher age, then by alphabetical order of name.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates selected in order of merit, up to the number of vacancies, undergo DME to assess medical fitness.
- Review Medical Examination (RME): Candidates declared unfit in DME may opt for RME by submitting written consent within 24 hours of being informed of their unfitness; RME is conducted preferably the next day after DME.

12. How to Apply
- Online applications will open on 12 October 2026 at 0900 hrs and close on 11 November 2026 at 2359 hrs on rect.crpf.gov.in. No offline applications will be accepted.
- Create a profile on the CRPF recruitment website and upload a copy of the certificate/document supporting your highest sports medal/position or level of participation before applying — applications without this upload will be rejected during scrutiny.
- Fill in the online application form carefully, clearly mentioning the post and sports discipline/event applied for.
- Pay the applicable application fee online (₹100/- for UR/OBC/EWS male candidates; exempted for females, SC/ST and Ex-servicemen).
- Only one application is allowed per candidate for one post; multiple applications will lead to rejection and debarment.
- Correction/modification in the submitted online application form will be allowed only between 12 November 2026 and 14 November 2026.

13. Important Instructions
- Candidates already in Government/Semi-Government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of documentation; failure to do so will lead to summary rejection.
- The candidate’s name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name must strictly match the Matriculation certificate; discrepancies can lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.
- Candidates should note they are applying for a combat force and must participate in the recruitment process with due physical/mental preparation; the recruiting agency will not be responsible for any incident/accident during recruitment tests.
- No travelling allowance, lodging or boarding will be provided; candidates should come prepared for a stay of at least one week at their own arrangement at the recruitment venue.
- Admit cards will not be sent by post — candidates must download them from the CRPF website.
- Candidates must carry at least one original photo-bearing identification proof (Driving Licence, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, College/University ID, PAN Card) at every stage of recruitment.
- Personnel selected against Sports Quota will be closely monitored by the Training Directorate for at least 2 years and must participate in all tournaments/meets of their discipline; if their sporting standard is not maintained, their services may be terminated, and sports personnel whose performance is not up to the mark may also be sent to general duty battalions for combat duties.
- Candidates will be subject to Aadhaar-based biometric identification at all stages; the Aadhaar number must be mentioned in the application form and the original Aadhaar card produced when required.
- CRPF does not charge money for recruitment. Beware of touts — if anyone demands money for selection, immediately inform the Chairman of the Recruitment Board, the IG/DIG of the concerned recruitment centre, or the nearest police station.
