5. Eligibility Criteria

5.1 Contractual Electrician (01 post)

Educational Qualification:

(i) Class 10th from a Government Recognized Education Board.
(ii) Trade Certificate in Electrician Trade (02 years course) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) / State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
(iii) Must possess a valid Electrical Workman’s Permit (Part I & II) issued by the Government Electrical Licensing Board.
(iv) Minimum two (02) years post-qualification electrical jobs related work experience in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Public Limited/Private Organisations.

Age Limit (as on date of registration for Walk-in): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 35 years.

5.2 Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical) (01 post)

Educational Qualification:

(i) Passed a Three (03) years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a government recognized Board/University.
(ii) Must possess a valid Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency (Part I, II, III & IV) issued by the Government Electrical Licensing Board.
(iii) Minimum two (02) years post-qualification electrical jobs related work experience in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Public Limited/Private Organisations.

Desirable Qualification: Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency: Part VIII.

Age Limit (as on date of registration for Walk-in): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 35 years.

6. Contractual Emoluments

Selected candidates are entitled to the total contract emoluments (Fixed + Variable), except that during any period of Maternity Leave availed by a selected candidate, only the Fixed component will be paid.

7. Selection Process

Selection is based on a Walk-in for Personal Assessment carrying a total of 100 marks. The qualifying/pass marks are 50 for all categories. Candidates are assessed on parameters such as Professional Knowledge and Skills (in the concerned discipline), Professional Knowledge and Skills (in an allied discipline), and Personal Attributes and Soft Skills. Final selection is made purely on merit, based on marks obtained (securing the qualifying marks of 50 or above) in the Walk-in for Personal Assessment.

8. Job Responsibilities & Required Skills

8.1 Contractual Electrician

Job Responsibilities: Checking & minor repairing of electrical equipment such as motors, panels, wiring diagrams and light fittings during testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning phases; checking and minor repairing/re-connection of earthing systems; facilitating operation of 2 x 1.4 MW Gas Genset Captive Power plant, 750 KVA Diesel Genset, 250 KW load bank, Battery & UPS system during testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning; other allied jobs as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge Required: Experience in testing of electrical equipment; experience in checking insulation value of motors, transformers and cables; operation and troubleshooting of DOL & Star Delta motor starters; cable termination, fixing of cable glands and assembling of NFLP & FLP light fittings.

8.2 Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical)

Job Responsibilities: Facilitating preliminary checking/testing of electrical equipment; ensuring quality control and strict compliance with safety standards during construction, installation and pre-commissioning of the electrical system; supervising and ensuring safe operation of electrical equipment during testing & pre-commissioning; facilitating troubleshooting of motor feeders, motor starters and equipment control wiring; other allied jobs as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge Required: Experience in testing of electrical equipment; understanding of Star Delta & DOL starter operation and related wiring diagrams; understanding of earthing systems for body, neutral, lightning arrestor and instrument signal; understanding of control diagrams of air circuit breakers, motor feeders, power feeders, generator control of captive power plant and NGR system.

9. Period of Contractual Engagement

The engagement is purely contractual. The maximum period of contractual engagement is 01 (one) year. The initial period is 06 (six) months, extendable by another tenure of 06 (six) months, subject to departmental requirement, performance, conduct of the incumbent, and medical fitness. The contract can be terminated at any time by either side by giving 15 (fifteen) days’ notice.

(a) Filled-in Personal Bio-Data Form (format given with the advertisement);
(b) One recent 3cm x 3cm coloured passport photograph;

11. General Terms & Conditions

Selected candidates must join immediately upon provisional selection; if unable to join on the stipulated date, a maximum extension of 15 (fifteen) days may be allowed upon intimation, failing which the provisional selection stands cancelled. The contract tenure commences from the date of engagement and ends on expiry of the prescribed period; no separate notice is required. Statutory benefits of Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Gratuity are applicable, and selected candidates must submit their Universal Account Number (UAN) for EPF compliance at the time of engagement.
