Gender & Residence
- Only women candidates are eligible for Anganwadi Worker and Helper posts.
- The candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha / Ward. If no eligible candidate is available from that Gram Sabha, an eligible candidate from the concerned Nyay Panchayat will be selected.

5. Selection Process & Priority Order
- Candidates must enter the marks obtained in all qualifications (Intermediate, Graduation and Post Graduation). The merit list will be prepared by adding the marks of all these examinations.
- If more than one candidate gets equal marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If marks and age are both equal, the candidate with higher educational qualification will be preferred.

- Widow, legally divorced or abandoned (parityakta) woman of a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family, resident of the same Gram Sabha / Ward.
- If not available – women of BPL families of the same Gram Sabha / Ward.
- If not available – widow, legally divorced or abandoned woman of an Above Poverty Line (APL) family of the same Gram Sabha / Ward.
- If not available – women of APL families of the same Gram Sabha / Ward.
- If no eligible candidate is available in any of the above categories in the same Gram Sabha, selection will be made category-wise from the concerned Nyay Panchayat.

Reservation
