7. Selection Process

Selection is made on the basis of an interview conducted at AIIMS Nagpur. If a large number of applications are received, candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their qualification, additional qualification and experience, or through a written test. The interview may spill over to the next day, so candidates should be prepared to be available for the next day as well.

10. General Instructions

  • The post of Senior Resident is a tenure post for a maximum duration of 3 years; initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance.
  • If a candidate has already served as Senior Resident in any government medical institution, that duration will be reduced from the 3-year tenure offered.
  • Candidates wishing to apply for more than one post must apply separately for each post.
  • Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
  • If an appointee resigns or leaves within the first 3 months of joining, no NOC, Relieving Letter or Experience Certificate will be issued.
  • The appointee is not entitled to Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Seniority, Promotion or other benefits available to regularly appointed Government servants.
