Besides Basic Pay, all posts carry IDA, HRA, Perks & Allowances, PF, NPS, Group Performance Related Incentive, Group Medical Insurance, Group Personal Accident and Term Insurance, and vehicle loan/house building advance facility as per Company rules.

6. Eligibility & Age Relaxation

• Minimum qualifying marks: 45% in the essential qualification for all Non-Executive posts (pass sufficient for CA/ICWA Intermediate and certain certifications).
• Maximum age for UR/EWS candidates: 30 years as on the cut-off date, 01-09-2026.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10/15/13 years for PwD (General/SC-ST/OBC-NCL respectively), as per Government of India guidelines for Ex-Servicemen, and up to 20 years for retrenched ex-contingent workmen of MECL.
• One candidate may apply for only one post.

8. Selection Process

1. Screening of online applications into “Eligible” and “Not Eligible” by a Screening Committee.
2. Written Test (100% weightage), conducted at Nagpur only by an independent external agency. Cut-off: 50% for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS, 45% for SC/ST, relaxed standard for PwD.
3. Document Verification, ordinarily in the ratio of up to 1:7 per vacancy, in order of merit.
4. Skill Test / Trade Test (qualifying in nature only), conducted by an Internal Committee.
5. Final Merit List drawn on the basis of Written Test marks after eliminating “Not Suitable” candidates in the Skill/Trade Test.

9. How to Apply

1. Visit MECL’s official website, www.mecl.co.in, and go to the “Careers” section, then “Advertisement Notices & Results” tab.
2. Click the relevant Portal link (available from 12-09-2026 to 11-10-2026).
3. Register and fill all mandatory details as per the instructions in the portal; keep scanned passport-size photograph and signature ready in JPG/JPEG format.
4. Carefully select your category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD/Ex-SM) — this cannot be changed later.
5. Pay the application fee (if applicable) through the payment gateway on the portal.
6. Upload the required scanned, self-attested documents as specified.
7. Submit the application and retain a printout of the system-generated form for future reference.

11. General Instructions

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for a minimum of 1 year from date of joining, extendable up to 1 additional year.
• Appointment is subject to being declared medically fit; for Junior Driver, Mechanic, Mechanic-cum-Operator (Drilling), Machinist, Technician (Drilling) and Electrician posts, absence of colour blindness and night blindness is mandatory.
• Candidates working in Central/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous Bodies/Nationalized Banks must apply through proper channel or furnish an NOC at the time of document verification.
