Madhya Pradesh Karmchari Chayan Mandal (MPESB), Bhopal has released the Rule Book for the “Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 for Teachers Teaching in Primary and Secondary Classes” (सेवारत शिक्षकों हेतु पात्रता परीक्षा 2026). This exam is being conducted for in-service (already serving) teachers only who are teaching at the primary or secondary level in Madhya Pradesh but have not yet qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated 1 September 2025 in Civil Appeal Nos. 1385/2025 and 1386/2025 (passed under Article 142 of the Constitution). The Supreme Court, in a subsequent review petition (Diary No. 53434/2025), extended the timeline for such in-service teachers to qualify the TET from 2 years to 3 years — the qualifying deadline is now 31 August 2028 (earlier 31 August 2027).
