Educational Qualification

Applicant should, at a minimum, possess an MBBS degree of any university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine. Applicants having a postgraduate degree in General Medicine can also apply.

5. Remuneration

Tentative working hours: 08 hours in a month (as per requirement). Out of the total monthly remuneration payable, a sum of ₹1,000/- per month may be treated as conveyance expense. Remuneration is fixed for the entire contract period and is all-inclusive; no superannuation benefits (Pension, Provident Fund, Gratuity), leave, or other perquisites are admissible. Income tax will be deducted at source as per extant rates.

6. Selection Process

Selection will be made through an interview of eligible candidates, to be held at Reserve Bank of India, Rail Head Complex, Jammu – 180012. The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interview; mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Shortlisted applicants will undergo medical tests (cost borne by the applicant) and document verification before engagement. The selected candidate must sign a Contract with the Bank, accepting the Terms and Conditions (Annex-I) and Code of Conduct (Annex-II), before joining.

7. Key Terms of Contract

• Contract validity: 3 years from date of engagement; not renewable on completion.
• Termination: either side may terminate with 3 months’ notice or 3 months’ remuneration in lieu thereof; in cases of gross misconduct, the Bank may terminate with 10 days’ notice.
• The Medical Consultant will be under the administrative control of the Regional Director, RBI, Jammu.
• The engagement is temporary and confers no claim to regular employment, pay, or perks of regular employees.
• The Bank reserves the right to review the remuneration rate, alter duty hours, and change the dispensary location at its discretion.
• Any dispute arising from the contract is subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Jammu.

8. How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates should fill the Application Form in the prescribed format (Annex-III) and send it, along with attested copies of relevant certificates (age, educational qualifications, caste, experience etc.), in a sealed cover superscribed “Application for the post of Medical Consultant, RBI, Srinagar on Contract Basis with fixed hourly remuneration” to the Regional Director, Human Resource Management Department, Reserve Bank of India, Rail Head Complex, Jammu-180012, so as to reach on or before 05:00 PM of October 08, 2026. Applications not in the prescribed format or not accompanied by the requisite documents/certificates will be summarily rejected.
