Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC Jaipur) has issued Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) dated 30.09.2026 for engagement of 2008 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2026-27. Training will be given at the workshops and units of NWR in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur. Candidates who have passed 10th with at least 50% marks and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade can apply online from 07.10.2026 to 06.11.2026 on www.rrcjaipur.in. There is no written exam – selection is purely on merit.

5. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

10th class (or equivalent under 10+2 system) passed with minimum 50% aggregate marks (no rounding off) from a recognized Board, and National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. Qualifications must be held on the date of submitting the application – candidates awaiting final results should not apply.

7. Selection Process

  • No written exam or interview – merit list based on the simple average of percentage marks in 10th (all subjects) and ITI (marks in provisional/final certificate).
  • Merit list is prepared Division/Unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise. No centralized merit list is formed.
  • Tie: older candidate preferred; if date of birth is also same, the one who passed 10th earlier.
  • Shortlisted candidates go through Document Verification and Medical Examination in the opted Division/Unit.

8. Medical Fitness

A medical certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-IV) signed by a Government authorized Doctor (Gazetted), not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of a Central/State Hospital, must be produced at document verification. Minimum standards include height 137 cm, weight 25.4 kg and chest expansion of at least 3.8 cm; colour vision is not required.

9. How to Apply

  1. Visit www.rrcjaipur.in and open the online application link (active from 07.10.2026).
  2. Register with your 12-digit Aadhaar number, an active mobile number and a valid email ID.
  3. Fill personal details exactly as in your 10th certificate (name, father’s name, date of birth).
  4. Choose only ONE Division/Unit and your ITI trade.
  5. Upload photograph and signature as per specifications below.
  6. Pay the fee (if applicable) and complete the application before 06.11.2026, 23:59 hrs.
  7. Note the Registration Number and keep a printout – it is required at document verification. No hard copy is to be sent to RRC.

  • Disability certificate from a competent Medical Board (Annexure-V) for PwBD
  • Discharge certificate / serving certificate of parent for Ex-Servicemen and wards
  • Medical certificate (Annexure-IV) and two extra copies of the uploaded photograph

11. Important Instructions

  • Training period and stipend will be as per extant rules and Railway Board directives.
  • No hostel accommodation; candidates must arrange their own stay.
  • Selected candidates (or guardian, if minor) must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship.
  • Helpline number will be available on the website from 07.10.2026, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (except Sundays/holidays).
  • No TA/DA for document verification. Request to change division/unit/trade after selection will not be considered.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
