10. How to Apply
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website (ssc.gov.in). Note: OTR generated on the old ssc.nic.in website will not work on the new site.
- After OTR, log in and fill the Online Application Form for the Junior Engineer Examination, 2026, either via the SSC website or the ‘mySSC’ mobile app.
- Opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication during OTR where possible — this exempts candidates from strict photo/signature rejection rules.
- Capture a real-time photograph as prompted by the online module (no pre-existing photo needed) and upload a scanned signature (JPEG, 10-20 KB, about 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm).
- Select the post/subject (Part A-G) as per your Educational Qualification — this cannot be changed later under any circumstances.
- Pay the applicable fee online and submit the form before 22-09-2026, 23:00 hrs. Use the Preview/Print option to verify all details before final submission.

12. General Instructions
- Candidates may apply for more than one post/organisation if eligible, subject to fulfilling the respective Essential Qualification and appearing in the corresponding subject paper.
- Experience required for any post must have been acquired only after completing the requisite educational qualification; internship/training/research experience during the course of study does not count.
- Selected candidates must produce original mark-sheets/certificates at Document Verification before the User Department; failure will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary certificate will be treated as final; no subsequent change requests will be entertained.
- The Commission will not be responsible for failure to submit the application due to heavy website load near the closing date.
