4. Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia) or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification (as on 30.06.2026)

6. Selection Process

Selection consists of an online Preliminary Examination (Tier I), an online Main Examination with Objective and Descriptive Tests (Tier II), and an Interview.

There is negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer in the Preliminary and Main objective examinations. The Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive) and Interview will be considered for the final merit list in the ratio of 75:25 respectively. Marks scored in the Preliminary Examination are not counted towards the final merit list.

Interview

Candidates qualifying the Main Examination will be called for interview up to three times the number of vacancies in the respective category/discipline. Outstation candidates will be reimbursed to-and-fro Sleeper Class railway/bus fare by the shortest route, subject to submission of valid proof of journey.

7. Pay Scale & Emoluments

Selected candidates will draw a basic pay of ₹82,485-4050(14)-1,39,185-4390(4)-1,56,745, with gross emoluments of approximately ₹1,10,000 per month at Metro centres, along with Gratuity, Leave Travel Subsidy (LTS), Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, National Pension System (NPS) and leased accommodation as per Company rules.

8. Probation, Service Bond & Service Conditions

Selected candidates will be placed on probation for one year (extendable at the Company’s discretion) and must pass the non-life “Licentiate Examination” conducted by the Insurance Institute of India during probation to be eligible for confirmation of service. Posts are permanent and transferable to any UIIC office in India.

Selected candidates must execute a Guarantee Bond for a minimum of 5 years’ service. Resigning before completion of the bond period attracts liquidated damages, plus a flat ₹35,000 towards onboarding/integration cost.

9. How to Apply

Candidates can apply online only from 08.09.2026 to 28.09.2026 (both days inclusive); no other mode of application will be accepted.

  1. Visit the Recruitment section of the UIIC website and click on “APPLY ONLINE”.
  2. Register with Name, contact details and Email ID to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
  3. Fill in the application form; use “SAVE AND NEXT” to verify details before final submission.
  4. Upload scanned photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), signature (black ink), left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration in English as specified in the notification.
  5. Pay the application fee/service charges online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS or Mobile Wallets.
  6. Preview and submit the application; take a printout of the e-Receipt and application form for future reference.
